Treballem per a ser un festival en el qual tinguin cabuda els projectes més nous de l’escena musical actual\, ja que el nostre principal objectiu és que els assistents gaudeixin de la música en la seva màxima expressió en un entorn idíl·lic i privilegiat com és l’illa de Menorca. \nEl CRANC Festival va néixer amb la idea d’oferir als menorquins la possibilitat de gaudir d’un festival de música amb artistes\, tant nacionals com internacionals\, de primer nivell sense haver de sortir de Menorca. Després de les dues primeres edicions\, el CRANC va canviar el seu format per a convertir-se en un festival que pogués atreure assistents de tota Espanya i\, per què no\, d’Europa i la resta del món. El que sempre s’ha perseguit des de l’organització del CRANC Festival és que els habitants de l’illa participin i s’involucrin\, ja que és un esdeveniment pensat per a ells. \nEl CRANC ILLA DE MENORCA FESTIVAL ha anat creixent de manera natural. Sempre mantenint una cuidada selecció d’artistes que tenen en comú l’autenticitat de les seves propostes\, tant si ja posseeixen una gran trajectòria\, com pel seu potencial o possible projecció. A més de l’oferta musical\, el festival també té un important espai que busca potenciar l’art\, la cultura i el comerç local. \nDes de la tercera edició\, el CRANC Festival va posar en marxa un format pensat per a professionals i amants de la música: el CRANC PRO\, un espai que aglutina showcases\, xerrades i networking. D’altra banda\, amb l’objectiu de donar visibilitat i promoure l’art\, també es va crear el CRANC ART\, una exposició de diferents artistes que pot visitar-se gratuïtament durant el festival i dies posteriors. Amb múltiples àlbums i col·laboracions de primer nivell\, s’ha confirmat com una artista tot terreny i molt versàtil. Ha tocat amb artistes com HOWE Gelb\, The Dubliners i The Jayhawks; ha treballat amb productors com John Parish (PJ Harvey\, Eels\, Tracy Chapman\, entre altres); i ha actuat per tot Sud-Amèrica\, els Estats Units i pràcticament per tota Europa. És\, també\, presentadora del programa “La Hora Musa” de TVE2\, i després d’haver signat la banda sonora de “Quien a Hierro Mata” protagonitzada per Luís Tosar\, està preparant el seu nou disc sota una gran expectació. \nMANEL\nEl grup català amb major projecció nacional i internacional dels últims anys\, i l’únic artista a entrar en el cim dels charts espanyols quatre vegades consecutives amb discos cantats en català\, actuarà al Cranc presentant el seu nou àlbum\, Per la bona gent (2019). \nNÚRIA GRAHAM\nLa compositora mig irlandesa mig catalana Núria Graham va publicar el seu àlbum debut “First Tracks” en 2015 amb tan sols 16 anys. En poc més de dos anys\, va llançar “Bird Eyes” + “In The Cavi” (EP) i gairebé a continuació el seu segon llarg “Does It Ring a Bell?” (2017)\, un àlbum que la va posicionar en l’escena nacional com una artista imprescindible per a entendre el folk-pop fet a casa. Però durant aquests dos últims anys la Núria no ha tingut descans. Un concert imprescindible per conèixer el potencial i l’essència d’aquest cantautor d’arrel rockera. \nBarnasants i Es Claustre en plenma col·laboració\nAquest concert és especial i està inclòs dins el projecte de cultura d’autor en xarxa Barnasants\, que enguany celebra la seva 25a edició\, i que juntament amb Es Claustre de Maó vàren encetar una col·laboració\, amb el concert de Maria del Mar Bonet (8 d’agost) i ara amb en Joanjo Bosk (11 de setembre). \nBarnasants\, el festival de cançó d’autor que va néixer fa 25 anys a les cotxeres de Sants de Barcelona\, enguany ha arribat per primer cop a l’illa de Menorca\, amb els concerts de Clara Fiol\, Glòria Julià i Maria José Cardona\, celebrats durant els mesos de febrer i març passats. Malauradament\, els dos darrers concerts programats aquell mes\, a càrrec de Maria Jaume Martorell (13 i 14 de març) i Joanjo Bosk (27 i 28 de març) no es van poder dur a terme\, a causa de l’estat d’alarma decretat per la pandèmia de COVID-19. \nGràcies a la col·laboració entre Barnasants i Es Claustre\, Maó acollirà un concert excepcional amb el cantautor empordanès Joanjo Bosk suspès del mes de març.
