Their rumba was developed from gypsy celebrations\, weddings\, conventions and concerts. They are the legacy of Peret\, the king of the rumba\, and also Pescaílla\, Chipén and Estrellas de Gràcia\, to name a few. Their vision is to avoid mixing rumba with other genres; they present a pure and authentic Catalan rumba\, with the “ventilador” as the cornerstone of their compositions. They avoid traditional concerts; instead they put on juergas (celebrations) with their own songs and versions of Catalan rumba classics which may even feature a dancer or two. \nThe music they play in the intimate gypsy community in Barcelona is brought to the stage with uninhibited style and is\, at times\, improvised. \nIt is an authentic way to experience their juergas (celebrations) and festivals. \n  \n\n

When she turned eighteen\, Colom moved to Barcelona to study singing\, and it was there that she began to develop her knowledge of jazz\, composition\, and production — elements that can be heard in her work today. \nDuring her professional vocal training\, Colom embarked on a journey to research the music of Mallorca’s oral tradition — a project followed by filmmaker Joan Porcel in the documentary Sempre Dijous\, where we see the singer recovering the folklore of the land where she grew up. Colom then transformed this knowledge through her artistic vision\, resulting in her debut album Miramar\, acclaimed by audiences and critics alike. \nIn 2025\, the singer-songwriter returns with Paradís\, in which Colom showcases her compositional language\, transcending the limits of genres such as electronica\, pop\, and folk\, while also taking on the role of producer alongside Martín Leiton and Òscar Garrobé. In addition to the musical concept\, Colom makes herself heard through verses as raw as they are sensitive\, full of imagery\, landscapes\, and dreamlike evocations that explore themes such as loneliness\, creation\, and love. Paradís preserves the singer’s identity and the musical heritage of Mallorcan folk song\, but expands towards a complex\, playful\, precious\, and emotional form of pop. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Neomak\, a band with witchcraft\, tambourine and dance.\nNeomak\, which means ‘new moon’ in Greek\, are seven young Basque women with attitude\, creating a new fusion of traditional Basque folk with a contemporary pulse. Electronic dance grooves underpin the skittering rhythms of the pandero and the pumping melodies of the trikitixa\, as they sing\, chant\, dance\, and assert their position as torchbearers of a constantly evolving Basque cultural expression. The ensemble first came together in 2013 when Kepa Junkera was looking to put together a female tambourine\, vocals and dance group for a new project\, Sorginak. They spent five years travelling the world with him\, bonding and sowing the seeds for Neomak\, which they finally unveiled in January 2021\, and they have been captivating audiences ever since. Their eponymous debut album was released in 2022. \n  \n  \n\n  \n\n
