This quintet is led by the Ibizan trumpeter Pere Navarro<\/a> whose love story with the trumpet began at the early age of eight. He studied at the Ibiza Conservatoire<\/a> and later at the Taller de M\u00fasics<\/em><\/a> in Barcelona. With his fresh, elegant, lyrical tone, this young Ibizan trumpeter leads his quintet to present their first disc, Perenne <\/em>(Fresh Sound Records, 2016), which includes eleven original themes.<\/p>\n Palau de la M\u00fasica Catalana, Jamboree, Nova Jazz Cava, El Plaza Jazz Club,<\/strong> are just some of the stages where Pere Navarro has already played at, among other theaters and auditoriums around Catalonia. He has also been part of the line up at festivals such as Barcelona\u2019s International Jazz Festival, Lugo Jazz Festival, ViJazz or Eivissa Jazz; where this year, in 2016, he celebrated his tenth time playing at the island\u2019s festival.
