Un emotiu retrat d\u2019una fam\u00edlia de Myanmar (Birm\u00e0nia) que extreu petroli manualment per sobreviure. En un entorn rural marcat pel foc, els forats al subsol i el ritme mec\u00e0nic d\u2019una ind\u00fastria petroliera artesanal, Thein Shwe i Htwe Tin entreguen cos i \u00e0nima per obtenir un barril de petroli al dia. El fill gran, Zin Ko Aung, vol trencar amb un sistema violent que explota la integritat dels seus pares.<\/p>\n

El cineasta Saeed Taji Farouky es va inspirar en There Will Be Blood<\/em>de Paul Thomas Anderson per capturar un m\u00f3n marcat pels pous de petroli en ple segle XXI. La for\u00e7a de les imatges i un treball sonor immersiu aconsegueixen capturar l\u2019atmosfera mitol\u00f2gica de la cultura popular de Myanmar. El xoc generacional i l\u2019explotaci\u00f3 dels recursos naturals es barreja amb l\u2019astrologia, les vides passades i els cicles de mort i renaixement.<\/p>\n
