Duot are Albert Cirera on saxos and Ramon Prats on drums and nowadays are one of the main groups of free jazz and improvised music of the Iberian Peninsula.
Since 2007, when they replaced, at the last minute, the performance of Paal Nielsen-Love at the Miró Fundation of Barcelona, Duot haven’t ceased to move, grow and work both separately and together. With a proposal that moves between free jazz and improvised music, the group continues to seek the limits of their sound, becoming one of the leaders of the new avant-garde scene.
Duot have released already three albums: Duot (2008), Cactus (2011), Live at Jamboree (2015), all published by Repetidor. They continued recording with guitarist Andy Moor: Food (2017). Also part of Liquid Trio, along with the pianist Agustí Fernández: Marianne (2016) and Liquid Trio Plays Bernoulli (2017).
Gigging in Spain, Belgium, Holland, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, Italy and Russia. They have shared stage with jazz and improvised music musicians like Joe Morris, Tom Chant, Alessandra Patruco, Herman Müntzig, Joachim Badenhorst, Masa Kamaguchi, Hugo Antunes, Alan Wilkinson, among others.
