The lineup that headlines session #8 of Es Claustre features ESTER F. MATA – trumpet, EDUARDO DORESTE – saxophones, DAVID VINAZZA – guitar, AISTIS KONDRATAS – double bass, RUGGERO DI LUISI – drums.
The Ester Fernandez Mata Quintet is a project born out of curiosity and experimentation in which the original compositions of the trumpet player and leader of the group, originally lyrical, written during her life in cities such as Lisbon and Barcelona, have grown and taken shape in recent years during her stay in the Netherlands alongside the four international musicians who complete the group, resulting in an intimate, fresh music that speaks of its origins without forgetting spontaneity and new sonorities.
Tots els diumenges, de juny a setembre, la terrassa d’Es Claustre s’omplirà amb l’escena de músics habituals de l’emblemàtic local de jazz de Barcelona, creant el cicle Es Claustre 23.
