Martí Genestar Trio

Martí Genestar Quartet is a recently formed contemporary jazz ensemble from Menorca, made up of Martí Genestar (guitar), Lluís Gener (double bass and electric bass), and Guiem Pons (drums).

The group was created with the aim of developing its own distinctive voice, building its repertoire around original compositions that combine lyricism with a strong sense of interpretative freedom.Drawing influences ranging from modern jazz to Mediterranean music, the trio has developed a sound in which interaction and mutual understanding between the musicians play a fundamental role. Their proposal invites listeners on a musical journey where each piece becomes an open and lively conversation between three creative voices.
