«Deborah Carter», Homenage Ella Fiztgerald
American singer Deborah J. Carte is one of the most outstanding voices in European vocal jazz. Based in the Netherlands, she presents in the city for the first time a concert that blends swing, elegance, and emotion. This performance is part of her current European tour.
Carter will perform leading a quartet featuring Canarian pianist José Alberto Medina, Dutch bassist Mark Zandveld—her regular collaborator for over fifteen years—and Catalan drummer David Xirgu. The group will present a repertoire that combines jazz, Latin jazz, and soul, with space for improvisation and virtuosity.
With the project Ella-borations, Deborah Carter pays tribute to the legendary Ella Fitzgerald, reinterpreting some of her most beloved songs with contemporary arrangements.
